Year 12 News

Year 12 News

The Year 12 cohort has been working incredibly hard over the first term. VCE students have started their first assessments and are excitedly receiving their results.  The VCAL students have begun their TAFE course and are working through their work place modules.

The year 12 Home group Ambassadors have been chosen and their badges were awarded at the Year 11 Assembly. These students are planning to meet with our Year Level Captains Zac Tonizzio and Kristine Gyorosi every second Thursday to plan events for the year level.

The Year 12 teachers have been recognising the outstanding work of the Year 12 students by writing Green Entries on Compass which the Year 12 team are showcasing in the senior school corridor for the students to see.

We are looking forward to our motivational morning when we return in Term 2.

Extended Investigation

Interacting with academic professionals within our community willing to support and influence Mornington Secondary College students’ burgeoning ideas was an experience in which our students were keen to participate. This term we welcomed Professor Laurance Splitter (University of Melbourne) to workshop students in Identifying Arguments, and Dr. Justen O’Connor (Monash University) to workshop students in unpacking and narrowing down research ideas.  We thank our generous guests for their time and professional advice. We would be pleased to welcome them back anytime!
