Our Foundation & Grade 1/2 Junior School Concert ‘A Night at the Circus’ will be held next week, on Tuesday 28 May 2019 at the Besen Centre, 87 – 89 Station St, Burwood, beginning at 7:15 p.m.

Junior Concert Final Reminders
REHEARSAL:
The Foundation children will leave for the rehearsal on Tuesday 28 May at 9.00 a.m. and Grade 1/2s at 10:15 a.m.
PERFORMANCE:
All students need to arrive at ‘The Besen Centre’ (Station St, Burwood) by 6:45 p.m. Students should meet their teachers at their pre-arranged area which will be organised by class teachers at the rehearsal during the day. Junior Choir members should enter the foyer and go through the doors underneath the stairs to the auditorium and meet Miss Poor on the stage. Students should arrive in their costume, as specified on the previous costume notice. They should wear non-slip shoes on their feet to perform in.
Students should also wear some face make-up if possible. If children want to add some face paint or other coloured make up, this is fine. The brighter the better!
Assembly Guest Performer
Congratulations to Emile and the African Drumming Ensemble for their fantastic performances in our last assembly, Thursday 16 May. A great array of music from different cultures on display! Well done!
Education Week - Performances
Congratulations to all our talented students who performed at our open afternoon for Education Week on Thursday 23 May. This afternoon showcased the Rock Group, African Drumming Ensemble, GVG, Senior Choir, BVG, the Violin/String Orchestra and Jordan Anderson on the drums. Thank you to everyone who came to support them!
Boroondara Eisteddfod
On Sunday 26th May, the Senior Choir will be performing at the Boroondara Eisteddfod. Students will be expected to arrive at 12:30pm and we anticipate that the event will conclude at approximately 1:45pm.
Good luck to all our Senior Choir members for a fantastic performance!
No BVG, African Drumming or Junior Choir Next Week
Just a reminder to those members who are part of the BVG, African Drumming Group or Junior Choir, there will be no rehearsals next week ((May 27-May 29) due to Junior School Concert Rehearsals and Performances occuring this week. Rehearsals for these groups will resume the following week.
Senior School Production Props
For our upcoming Senior Production we are in need of a few specialty items and we are hoping that within in our school community we might be able to source some of these items. These include:
- Persian Rugs
- Wicker Baskets
- Arabian style cushions and throws
- Hessian Bags/sacks
- Arabian Perfume bottles
- Moroccan Lanterns
- Garden Gnome
- Wooden bucket with metal/rope handle
If you have any of these items at home and are willing to lend them, can you please name them and deliver them to the Stadium office, so we can return them once the production has finished.
