A reminder of the warm welcome to our community of parents and friends to join us for our Opening School Year Mass and Prefect Induction tomorrow morning. As a catholic community, we will share this celebration at 10am in the school hall, followed by morning tea.

Thanks to all the parent/family helpers at our three recent swimming carnivals: primary, secondary and Mc Kechnie Shield. We are turning around to do it all again to host the diocesan primary and secondary carnivals!  This in itself is a terrific opportunity to showcase our town, our families and our school. Again, there are many parents who will jump on board yet another time for our students and our school. Again, we say thank you.

Catholic Schools Week will be celebrated in NSW and the ACT between 7 - 11 March. Our local school program of celebration and activities has been published in this newsletter for your attention. We welcome parents and family members to join us .

Partners4Learning (P4L) www.partners4 learning.edu.au provides a portal through which teachers, school administrators and parents can gain access to research, case studies and advice. It has a  bank of practical resources and professional development to support enhanced parent, family and community partnerships within and between school communities.

From this site, this week, I particularly draw to your attention a series of short, snappy videos explaining primary maths concepts in simple terms for parents to share.  http://www.partners4learning.edu.au//connecting-learning/dsp-default.cfm?loadref=30
