PRIMARY NEWS
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Please take a moment to read about some news relating to the Primary School:
MID-WINTER FESTIVAL
It was fantastic to see so many of you at our Mid-winter Lantern Festival on Wednesday night. I was so impressed with all the beautiful designs our students have been involved in making over the last week.
Big thanks to Alison McKean (Co-ordinator), All Volunteers (from fire wardens to soup makers!) and to our Senior Primary Students who also demonstrated that they are wonderful leaders of Collingwood College. It was great to see so many smiles on the night!
Stay tuned for more information regarding the end of Term 2 Mid Winter Teacher play. A Compass feed will be sent with more information.
REPORTS
Teachers are busy putting the finishing touches on reports as we speak. Hard copy reports will be given out on Friday, 30th June to students personally. On that Friday afternoon, the reports will also be available through Compass via electronic download.
PREP ENROLMENTS
Prep 2018 enrolments are filling fast. Please make sure if you have a child that is eligible for Prep in 2018 that you come to the front office and collect an enrolment form. Both Steiner and Reggio places are filling faster than expected. Enrolments are taken on a 'first in-first served' basis.

SCHOOL FEES
Reminder invoices will be sent out prior to the school holidays. The new office staff, Claire and Georgia, have worked really hard to ensure the invoices are accurate and match what you will see in Compass. Please can you login into Compass and complete payments. Your school fees are used entirely in classroom programs to support your children's learning. If fees are not paid then budgets for those programs are reviewed and resources are reduced for the second half of the year. This is a scenario we desperately want to avoid.
If financially paying fees is difficult please make a time to visit us or Martina to discuss payment plans. We all appreciate your support!

REGGIO PRIMARY ART
Reggio Primary Art Year 3/4 students have been working with Bus Projects a local gallery in Collingwood. Students had the opportunity to work with artist photographer Amy Stuart, educational officer from Bus Projects Nina Mulhall and artist Sam Peterson. Students worked a whole day in the Performing Arts room. Students continued working on their Project ‘the environment’ ‘small things one does not normally notice.’ Students had the opportunity to work with Sam and explore cracks and holes in the environment, as well as exploring the space to create non-permanent artworks. Students used plasticine for this project. At the end of the day students had the opportunity to make something small out of plasticine to take home.
Kindly supported by Bus Projects, Yarra City Council.
