Cross Country Carnival 2023

Dear parents/Caregivers, 

Newlands Primary School needs volunteers for our Cross Country Carnival on Thursday 4th May 2023 at Jackson Reserve in Coburg. To ensure total course supervision outside the Athletic Track for Year 4, 5 and 6 races, we are seeking parents who are willing to give up their precious time to give us a hand.

We require parent volunteers to help during hours from 10am-12pm and 1pm-1.50pm.

The Newlands Cross Country Carnival will be taking place next term on Thursday 4th May (Thursday 11th May back-up day). This year the event will take place at Jackson Reserve in Coburg from 10am -2:45pm. Students must come to school in the morning as usual. Then, class teachers, staff members and students will walk together to the location at 9am. 

Students must wear their house colours. A hat/sunscreen/rain jacket are recommended depending on weather condition. Spiked footwear is not permitted. Please ensure your children bring a small bag with lunch box, snacks, and bottle of water.  It is recommended your children keeps physical activity and regular exercise up before and during school break. This will help them build extra stamina!

In the next coming weeks, further information including the program will be published in the Newsletter and sent to parents via Sentral.
