Primary Community News

Foundation (Prep-Year 2)

Prep A have been having a wonderful time exploring our Inquiry topic 'All About Me.' We have been making books where we learnt what our names look like and our hair and eye colour. Our favourite thing to do has been craft activities where we have coloured in pictures of ourselves and made self portraits. We are also learning to know our friends and teachers names.

Lower Primary (Years 3-4)

The 3/4 team has been learning about descriptive writing where we have been writing about our dream homes that we built in the classroom. We have been learning what belongs in a sentence, a capital letter at the beginning of a sentence, and for nouns, spaces between words, and full stops at the end of the sentence. We have also been learning about adjectives and using them in our sentences to describe our houses. Here are some of our writing pieces.

Upper Primary (Years 5-6)

Upper Primary have had a busy two weeks! Students successfully completed their swimming program and this week, have been celebrating Harmony Week. We have been reading the book, Whoever You Are by Mem Fox, and talking about different cultures. Students have been learning to say ‘hello’ in different languages and have completed a variety of activities that celebrate our differences and that everyone belongs!

CAMP REMINDERS

Upper Primary and Lower Secondary are now doing call outs to any students who wish to attend this year's camps. If you have not already expressed an interest and paid your deposit please do so this week so we can send home the paperwork.
