Living Our TCPS Pillars

Water, Waste, Energy & Biodiversity (WWEB) Warrior Student Leaders

We are a Resource Smart 5 Star Sustainable School. This means we have worked hard since our foundational year in 2018 to create sustainable practises and values at our school.

The most important part of this was the development of our W.W.E.B Warrior student leaders. W.W.E.B stands for Water, Waste, Energy and Biodiversity - which are the 4 areas of sustainability that we focus on.

At TCPS we are fortunate to have 7 W.W.E.B Warrior Captains! You will find our W.W.E.B Warrior Captains taking care of our wonderful TCPS environment and educating students on how to be sustainable through waste, water, energy and biodiversity.

Our W.W.E.B Warriors will regularly present at assembly and you’ll see them soon featuring Earth Hour and our new garden beds!

STEM Lunchtime Club

At TCPS we have a wonderful variety of lunchtime clubs run by out passionate teachers so that students have the opportunity to use their character strengths in different ways. STEM club is a wonderful way for students to use their strength of curiosity during lunchtimes. In STEM club our student leaders create engaging activities for their peers of all ages. They take this job very seriously and students in the STEM club get to enjoy time with others all while being curious. The lunchtime STEM Club provides students at TCPS a place to go where they can build, explore, investigate and allow their minds to wonder! You can find students showing creativity and curiosity when making a tower out of planks, the longest domino trail, building a new machine from our lego set or quietly reading some fun fact books on all things science! STEM club runs on a Wednesday lunchtime.

CHOIR

In a wonderful display of self belief our TCPS Choir started this week. Students of all ages gathered together in our community hub to begin what will be an exciting journey. Bringing together a variety of skills and using their strength of creativity, students enjoyed the time learning about music and what it takes to sing as a group. We are very excited about the prospect of live performances and music collaboration within our school and couldn't be prouder of our students.

Thank you to Lucy, our parent volunteer for your support, commitment and expertise!

Our choir captains pictured are Tilly, Phoenix and Ella. Keira and Eden and are also choir captains and will feature in our next update.

Choir Next Week!

Next week in choir we will continue with songs we have been practising.

We will also try When I Grow Up from Matilda. Your children might want to practise this over the weekend.
