Grade 3/4 News

Reminders 

• Homework - Week 9: Reading Diary and Big Talk Homework (signed and returned to school)
• Homework - Week 10: Reading Diary (3 nights only due to Easter Friday)
• Home Reading Diaries must be checked each night and come to school Friday with a parent signature. Students will need to read a minimum of 20 minutes for 4 nights each week (3 nights in Week 10). 

NAPLAN

Congratulations to our fantastic Grade 3s for all of their hard work during NAPLAN! Well done also to our wonderful Grade 4s for the Writing work they completed while NAPLAN was taking place.

Science & ICT Rotations

Students have been thoroughly enjoying our Science and ICT rotations! We are very excited to continue these units throughout the next fortnight and into next term. 

Learning in Weeks 9 & 10

Mathematics: Students will move onto 'Multiplication & Division' during our Fluid Group sessions this fortnight. In our Maths Applied sessions, students will finish off the term by exploring and making graphs. 

Writing & Reading: In Writing, students will continue to work on their reflective journals and move onto Publishing their Big Writes from this term during Week 10. In Reading, we will learn how to use different reading rates depending on the text. We will also consider the importance of reading large amounts of books across different genres. 

Topic: The time has finally arrived in our 'The Game of Life' unit to play the board games that we have been assembling! During Week 9, students will create their board (playing surface) and then in Week 10 they will play their 'Game of Life' with their classmates, using the cards they designed throughout the term.
