Bike Safety

It is timely, with Ride to School Day happening tomorrow, to flag the importance of bike safety when travelling to and from school. A parent shared with me this afternoon that two students shot straight across the road at the Burns Street / Spring Gully Road intersection without looking at the end of the school day. From time to time we receive reports of students not riding safely to or from school, especially when crossing roads. Please discuss this important topic with your child/ren.  

Tying Back Long Hair 

If your child has hair that is longer than shoulder length it should be tied back whilst at school. This stipulation in our Uniform Policy and on the DET website is required for safety reasons and to reduce the risk of head lice infestation. Thank you for your support with this.  

Lunch Orders - Gluten Free Options

Each week, one gluten free option will be available to order. GF options are available as separate items when ordering, i.e. Macaroni Bolognese (containing gluten) or GF Macaroni Bolognese. The gluten free option will display a yellow gluten free image for each item. Please be careful to order the correct one for your child.

It is important to note that Fresh Five is not a gluten free kitchen and that although no ingredients containing gluten will be included in these orders, no traces of gluten can not be guaranteed. 

Planning Week Next Week

Teachers will be released in their respective teams to plan for Term 2 next week. Students will have all of their specialist subjects on the same day to accommodate this, as follows:

Tuesday - Grade 1/2

Wednesday - Grade 3/4

Thursday - Prep and 5/6
