Open Boys and 15's Girls

The Opens Boys and 15’s Girls Football (soccer) took on Inverell High in a doubleheader for the knockout competitions.

The 15’s girls set the tone for the day with a dominating win of 13-0. The goals were shared with Kaitlyn 6, Danika 2, Mary 2, Elli-May 2 and Jasmine 1. It was a great effort by all players with no subs for the game, and everyone played well as a team. They now progress to round 2 of the Bill Turner Trophy competition.

The boys took on very physical opponents with Inverell scoring 2 early goals and a 3rd later in the first half. With a good pep talk at halftime, the boys came out and defended well, not giving up. Sadly the boys ended up losing the game 4-0 but can hold their heads high. It was a great game to watch.

North West Touch Football

Emory Levy-Blair , Rocco Eastwood and Leo Eastwood were all decked out in their NW touch uniforms. They enjoyed a couple of days of competitive, high-level touch football at Nelson Bay as part of the North West team this week. What a great experience for the lads.

Under 15's North West Rugby League Trials

Toby Frendon and Emory Levy-Blair trialled for the Under 15s Rugby League NW side in Coona! Well done boys!

Open Girls Soccer

The Open Girls soccer team met Tenterfield once again in the opening round of the knockout competition. The girls played some beautiful soccer with passing and 'first to the ball' featuring highly throughout the game. It was a much closer game than the end score of 5-2 in Tenterfield's favour indicated, with Ellie Knox putting away two beautiful goals in the second half. It was a pleasure to take away this wonderful group of girls. A special thanks to Candy Lockwood for providing transportation on the day; it was greatly appreciated.
