In week 11 of Term 1, the 9/10 Commerce class conducted a mock trial based on the fictional case 'A Giant Slayed' which is set around the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. This was undertaken as a practical activity to conclude the Law, Society and Political Involvement unit that was studied in Term 1. All students conducted themselves with professionalism and the trial was a great success. A special mention to a number of students who held substantial roles including Judge - Howie Eastwood, Judges Associate - Opal O'Neil, Court Officer - Adam McCallister, Prosecutor - Rory Husband, Defense Counsel - Riley Lightfoot and the Accused - Ben Arandale. These students all did a fantastic job in their respective roles. Thank you and well done to all involved!
