What should my child wear?
All students must come to school dressed in the correct winter uniform on photo day (no sports uniforms).
When will Special Group photos be taken?
Special Group photos are taken on the same day.
Special Groups include all Family/Siblings photos, SRC all grades, Captains, House Captains, and our Year 6 Leadership Teams (Liturgy, Wellbeing/Pastoral Care, Social Justice, Hospitality and Media & Environment).
Please check Compass for further information regarding the online ordering process.
Parents and carers are reminded of the following procedures to assist in ensuring the school carline service operates safely and efficiently.
It is important that any communication in regards to unforeseen changes for student dismissal procedures are communicated to the school office prior to 2.30pm. Late communication at bell time can result in the message not being communicated before students proceed to their normal dismissal routine.
Parents are also asked to review times when picking up their children early from school. Asking for a student during lunchtime can be difficult in relation to locating the student. Prior notice is important so students are organised.
Thank you to those parents who gave their feedback regarding the change of school finishing time to 3pm. Over 200 people responded and more than half of them were in favour of the 3pm dismissal time. The feedback included a number of reasons for and against the time change and we will continue to consider some of them in order to meet your needs. Change does not always suit everyone’s needs but being flexible and reasonable in adapting to it to meet the needs of the whole community is important in ensuring we are working together on all levels. Thank you.
Students are to officially wear their winter uniform from Monday 1st May, 2023.
With the changing weather conditions during early Autumn, however, students may wear full summer or full winter uniform when returning to school in Term Two on Wednesday 26th April through to the 28th April. Parents, please ensure that your child is not wearing a combination of both uniforms during this period.
Parents are reminded of the importance of students wearing their uniforms correctly and with pride. School hats are required for all outdoor activities aligned with our school policy- ‘no hat no play’.
A reminder that long hair needs to be tied back (this also includes boys - mullets or shaved hair designs are not accepted). Correct school shoes/sports shoes and socks are to be worn. A uniform reminder notice will be sent home next term if students are not wearing the correct school uniform.
Many students are bringing to school expensive, heavy, glass-filled water bottles. Many of these water bottles are a risk to student safety if dropped. Students are asked to use water bottles that are lightweight and not containing glass as an insulator. Water bottles need to be clearly marked with the student’s name.
If you have your WWC number and missed our previous sessions, another Parent Induction session is scheduled for Wednesday 26 April at 2:40 pm. All parent volunteers are required to complete this induction as part of the Child Safe Schools compliance process.
