News from

our Principal

 Mrs Sue Clay

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you for your energy throughout the term and the partnership we share in supporting your children in their social, emotional, spiritual, physical, creative and academic development. It has certainly been a busy term, full of curiosity! I have especially enjoyed the last few weeks greeting many of you as you joined us here at school and in the classroom to see learning in action. The quote, “Children are likely to live up to what you believe of them” rings true when I see and experience the joy and delight the children show us in so many ways in their learning because they feel safe, loved and others believe in their potential.

As we wind down this week and prepare for the Easter season and holiday break please take the time to acknowledge your child’s efforts, growth and commitment toward their learning. We should all feel very proud of what we have achieved together this term.

Staff Development Day - Term 2                             Week 1 Monday 24th April

Please note that our Staff Development Day in Term 2 will be held on the first day back - Monday 24th April. This will be a pupil free day for students. On this day staff will be engaged in contemporary research models of learning, exploring the Appreciative Inquiry approach and co-creating a Vision for Learning and what it looks like for us here at Our Lady of Fatima. Supervision will be available if required.

Prayer for Holy Week

As we go about our day O God,

As we move through each week,

each term, each year

As we strive to walk with Jesus

as people of service;

Remind us that we are the face of Christ.

We are his hands, his words, his heart.

May your grace, mercy and peace

Help us to stay true to all that you call us to do,

So that through us,

Others will see the model of service

That Jesus your Son gave to the world.

We ask this prayer in Jesus’ name. Amen

Enjoy your Easter and holiday break with family, friends and each other. May the risen Lord fill your heart with hope and joy this Easter and may the blessings of the season bring you new life.
