The Year 7 Experience

 Chloe Naughton’s entry:

“On my first day of school, I arrived with my parents and Claire, I stood with the rest of the year 7’s. I was very nervous and I think everyone else was too.

I really like Greensbourough college because I have lots of friends and it is easy to navigate when we have classes and all of the teachers are really nice. There has been a lot of homework but it has gotten easier to manage over the time that I have been her. I feel like I have settled in to the school nicely even though I still miss primary school. Something that has surprised me was the number of double periods that there are. I enjoy having a locker because it is easy to store my stuff in and it makes it easier to bring stuff into class.”

Oliver Fitzgibbon’s entry:

“Year seven has been very different to primary school. It’s much better! My teachers are nice, having a locker makes me feel safer about my stuff, the sports programs are nice, and the moving around helps me to be on schedule. Having many teachers means meeting more adults and having more people to talk to. The locker is a great way to stop my books and stationery, bag, lunch, and phone getting stolen. PE is more challenging and it’s easier to meet people through sport than during normal school times. The year 11’s and 12’s may look big, but are kind and keep us safe. High school has been very enjoyable for me. I thought it was going to be way harder but it’s basically like starting primary school again. I can’t wait to continue my journey at Greensborough College.”
