Happy Easter!!

Our incredible kitchen staff have been busy in the kitchen cooking up a storm for students and guests (we have been hosting a Leadership Coaching workshop). The decorations have come out and the food!!! Easter cupcakes, beautiful homemade quiches and tarts. As you will see from the photos the kitchen and dining hall is full of love and incredible catering for our students.

Busy times in Residence

With students training for Country Week, Bibbulmun Track and or community sports such as hockey and football, time in residence has been very busy. It is exciting to see our boarders getting involved and giving it their all.

Term 1 Holidays- Leave

Thank you to those parents that have put in leave for their students for the coming holidays. It is so important that we know who your son and daughter are leaving with and if they are leaving early, the reason why they are taking precious days off school. With 20

weeks of schooling left for Year 12 and 26 weeks for Year 11 - Every day really counts!!

Students are to return after 4pm on Tuesday, 25 April 2023 to be ready for the first day of  Term 2 on Wednesday 26 April. We Shall Remember Them, on Wednesday, in a short ANZAC memorial service held during the day. Mr Dowell and Head Students, Matilda Williams and Corey Childs will also represent the College at Cunderdin ANZAC memorial on the Tuesday.

It has been reported back to the College, that some student drivers are speeding to get back to College by 7.30pm cut off on Sunday evenings. The 7.30pm cut off has been widely accepted by students and parents who like to be back at the College before dark. It is safer than driving later, means students have the opportunity to have a good sleep and be prepared for Monday classes.  As with a work situation, students must learn to plan their trips to ensure they arrive on time and safely. Leaving home at the last minute and then getting angry and frustrated if they are running late, is not helpful. Please talk to your children about appropriate driving and pre-planning their trips to ensure they have the time for delays such as traffic and KFC stops. We reiterate to our students that questioning the College's arrival time expectations is no different to questioning an employers expected start time for the workday (and how that would be received by the employer).

Winter wardrobe

As the weather is now getting cooler, please ensure your students have warm bedding and clothes ready for the winter months. While all rooms have heating, it is important that students have warm jumpers and jackets (including waterproof jackets), as well as track pants to lounge around in.

Wishing you and your families a safe and happy holiday.
