From the Prep Space!
We are learning all about 2D shapes in Prep!
2D shapes only have 2 dimensions and that is why we call them 2D.
They are flat, and have length and width only.
Some 2D shapes, that we have been identifying and exploring the features of are; squares, rectangles, circles, hexagons, octagons and triangles.
2D shapes are made from lines.
We can know what a shape is by counting its lines.
Some shapes have 4 equal lines, 2 short and 2 long lines and 3 lines. Do you know which shapes these are?
