COVID and RAT'S INFORMATION

We will continue to inform parents about positive cases in the school.

It is no longer recommended that you test your child twice a week. Government regulations now state that a Rapid Test should be carried out, each morning, if the student is  a household contact or if they are showing any cold or flu like symptoms (even if mild).

If there is a member of your household who has tested positive, but your school child has tested negative and are symptom free, they can attend school but need to wear a mask while are school.

COLDS and FLU

There are a lot of colds and flus going around in the community. If your child is unwell, please keep them at home. Keeping sick children away from school protects them, their classmates, their teachers and your family. Thank you for caring for our school family.

FEES

We are now half way through Term 2. Please ensure you are up to date with your Term 1 and/or Term 2 fees. Thank you.

Operoo

Thank you to all the families who have registered with Operoo. Everyone should have received their invite.

If you have not yet registered you will continue to receive reminder emails until you have logged in, updated your child's details and verified, so please do this as soon as possible.

Operoo is the new platform we will be using for communication between school and parents. It will be used, instead of konnective, to deliver news and keep parents informed, absentee notifications and to send out excursion notes (no more paper notes getting lost).

If you need to send an absentee, late arrival or early pick up message to school please go into Operoo, press the three small lines at the top right of your screen and you will see a drop down menu. One of the items in this menu is Form Library. Click this and there are two forms available, an absentee form and a late arrival early leaver form. These forms  will be there for you to complete whenever you need to.

If your child is going to be absent, late or leaving early, please complete the appropriate form and submit.

You can of course phone the school or send an email to office@sjsorrento.catholic.edu.au if you prefer.

If you have any questions please contact us.

NAMING SCHOOL UNIFORMS

Parents, please check that items of school uniform are clearly named. Everyday items of lost, unnamed clothing are brought up to the office. We try our best to find the owner,  but if we can't they are put into the second hand uniform cupboard.
