Fill the Earths Bucket!

This week, the Juniors continued to fill the Earth's bucket but this time we decided to weigh how much rubbish was in the yard. First, we picked up some rubbish in the yard and after giving our hands a good clean, we then sorted them and counted how many pieces we had. This week we found 353 pieces of rubbish in the woodlands!

Next, we graphed the data, measured it's length and this week we weighed the rubbish using scales. We wanted to work out what was heavier or lighter than our rubbish.

We also wrote some letters to the Brilliant company who supplies our school with paper. The wrapping they are using is plastic, and we learned that it takes 450 years for plastic to break down!

We talked about what persuasive words we might choose to try and convince the company to listen to us.
