A Message from Hannah & Keir

We would like to acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the traditional custodians of the land on which our school stands. We pay our respects to all First Nations elders, past present and emerging.

The AIP (Annual Implementation Plan)  focuses on school improvement priorities across one school year and provides clarity and purpose for all members of the school community as they work towards the goals set out in the School Strategic Plan (SSP). The AIP is developed and monitored by the School Improvement Team (SIT)  which is made up of team leaders, Hannah, Keir and other curriculum area leaders in the school such as our Literacy and Wellbeing leaders. The AIP outlines the process that the school will go through to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate the goals that we have identified as a priority.

This year, and in response to the COVID and lockdown year that was 2021, Victorian government schools have been asked to prioritise the following goal;

 “Some of our students have thrived in the remote learning environment, others have maintained their learning progress, and some need extra learning and wellbeing support despite the best efforts of their teachers and families. In 2022 we will continue to focus on student learning - with an increased focus on numeracy - and student wellbeing through the 2022 Priorities Goal, a learning Key Improvement Strategy and a wellbeing Key Improvement Strategy. We will teach and support each student at their point of need and in line with FISO.”

If you are interested in discussing these plans in detail, we encourage you to join our Education Committee, where interested parents, carers and educators work in partnership to enhance our school curriculum.

Additionally, we will have our Annual Public Meeting next term - on the evening of Thursday 5th May. This meeting will include school staff and school council reflecting on 2021 through our Annual Report and presenting our vision for 2022 through our sub committees. More info will be available in our next newsletter.
