Bush School Update:

Over the holidays our Bush School Teacher Extraordinaire Nicole Nicholson went on another Outdoor Immersion camp up at The Titirangi Rudolph Steiner school. It was four days but Nicole thinks it will take many, many more days for her to process and unpack the range of knowledge gifts and experience it contained.
Nicole writes:
"I started the camp by making fire by friction and that fire continued on for the whole four days and was finally extinguished as we were saying our goodbyes.
The crafting ranged from knot tying, to keep the rain and wind out, to clay and sand casting with metal and wax.
I have realised I am naturally drawn to woodwork and carving so will spend the next wee while exploring that.
Below are a few pics of our setup, I didn't take too many there was far too much to do :)
No lighters were used in the lighting of this fire, I promise!
Here are some clay castings and the lighter ones are sandstone (both materials we found around our campsite) my two are the seed pod impression and the guy with the wild hair :)
