The Bible as Book - a reflection for Book Week

I could never have dreamt that there were such goings-on

in the world between the covers of books,

such sandstorms and ice blasts of words,

such staggering peace, such enormous laughter,

such and so many blinding bright lights,

splashing all over the pages

in a million bits and pieces

all of which were words, words, words,

and each of which were alive forever

in its own delight and glory and oddity and light.

The bible is alive with the stories. The book of God is no ordinary book. Written by storytellers past, it is a book for all time.

A BIG THANK YOU TO OUR CHOIR FOR CONFIRMATION

Thank you to the siblings and other relatives who sang for the Sacrament of Confirmation.  You are a shining light in our school community because of your generosity and willingness to assist in the religious life of our school.  A VERY BIG THANK YOU.

Feast of Our Lady of the Southern Cross Mass

A reminder that we will celebrate as a school our Feast Day on Thursday,  September 6th in our Sports Centre commencing at 9.15am. After Mass we encourage families to stay for a cuppa and spending morning break with their child in each Learning Centre.

Assistance Required - I would like to represent Prayers of the Faithful at this mass in a range of dialects to represent our school - If you could translate a prayer for me to a dialect that represents your family - and either you or your will child read at mass - please see me at school or email pmcdowell@olscwyn.catholic.edu.au
