SCHOOL STREAM UPDATE

Dear Parents,

We are looking forward to the new School Stream update being released on the Apple and Google Play Store next week.

Please check that you update the app when it’s released. You can even set your phone’s app updates to automatic. Here are the instructions for the Apple App Store (https://goo.gl/mvC9as) and the Google Play Store (https://goo.gl/XCgkL1).

To get the most out of the app features we do recommend creating an account so you can easily manage the content the school sends through.

To create an account, go to the side menu via the top-left corner and click on "Log-in". This is a quick and easy process that will require your first and last name, and a mobile number, email, or Facebook account authorisation.

Once you have created your account, you will be able to access all of the new app features which will be highlighted in the welcome video.

Father's Day Stall

Our Parent's & Friends are looking for 12 Volunteers to help man the 2018 Father's Day Stall on the 30th August 2018.

Please remember, all Volunteers must have a current Working with Children check and have signed the "Our Lady of the Southern Cross Code of Conduct" and "Personal Details Form".

Online NAPLAN SRT Dates

As mentioned on last week's newsletter we are piloting NAPLAN online with this year's Year three and Year five students. These are simply readiness test for VCAA and school and do not have results attached to them.

These dates are when we will test our system and if your child is absent there is no need for a make up test.

Thursday, August 30th - Year Three omnibus - literacy and numeracy questions combined. Duration - 50 minutes.

Friday, August 31st - Year Five omnibus - literacy and numeracy questions combined. Duration - 50 minutes.

Wednesday, September 5th - Year Five online writing. Duration - 50 minutes.

NAPLAN 2018 Results

VCAA has advised all schools that at present 2018 NAPLAN results are not available and no date has been set for schools and families to receive reports. We will inform you of any further developments when available.
