Principal’s Message

Mr Nick Baird

Dear Parents and Carers,

Last week our school was visited by staff members from the Catholic Schools Office. They all commented on the friendly, welcoming nature of our school, making a specific note on the quality of teaching and learning occurring in our classrooms. It is always fantastic to get such positive feedback of our school and the recognition of our students and staff for the work they are doing.

Thank you to those able to join us for the PTF Meeting this afternoon. It gave us a chance to meet and discuss fundraising events for the remainder of the year and to prioritise our PTF spending moving forward. We have lots of great ideas and I'm very appreciative of the supportive nature of our PTF to ensure that our school community is working in cohesion for the best for our children.

This Wednesday is St Patrick's Day. St Patrick is the Patron Saint of Ireland, so to recognise the day we are inviting all students to wear something green on Wednesday with their sports uniform. This might be a green hat, socks, ribbon or accessory.

The Term 1 Parent Teacher Interviews are being held on Monday 29 March starting at 1pm. Parents and Carers will be able to book their time slot online through the Compass portal. The interviews can be scheduled from 1.00pm to 4.00pm, however if this time does not suit you, please contact your child's class teacher directly to organise an alternative time for your interview.

A date for your diaries - on Thursday 1 April (last day of term), we are holding an Easter Hat Parade at school starting at 10.30am. We would love for our families to join us for this event with a morning tea to follow. Younger siblings are also invited to participate in the parade. Sacred Heart students (and Transition children) will construct their Easter Hats at school.

Have a great week!

Nick Baird
