THE YEAR OF THE OX

During the last two weeks students have been working on an art piece inspired by Chinese New Year - The Year of the Ox.  Students drew their own Ox and used oil pastels to complete their work. Grade levels used the oil pastels in different ways. 

We talked about how the Chinese New Year differs to the one we follow and the characteristics of the Ox. 

Students brainstormed the following - strong, dependable, hard working being the most common responses. 

Everyone was very keen to know the animal that related to the year that they were born in. 

WE are all enjoying the display of artwork in the Art Room.
