St James Kids' Adventure Camp 2021

(Run by the Dads)

Unfortunately the Camp Wyuna facility is unable to accommodate any more families next weekend, due to COVID restrictions.

However, we are allowed to continue to take bookings for the activities on both days, for families not booked in at the camp. This will enable more kids to get involved and still be part of the fun! You may wish to consider a day trip to Queenscliff or the option of staying at alternative accommodation nearby.

Due to this, the try booking site has been reactivated for ‘activities only’. This will close Friday 5th March at 12pm or if filled prior.

St James’ Parents Association

Our first St James Parents Association Meeting for this year occurred last Tuesday 23rd February. We thank our new 2021 reps including new parents to the school for their time, feedback and ideas presented at this meeting.

We hope that all St James parents have received the minutes from last weeks’ meeting (sent out Monday 1st March to year level reps), and in addition, received our online parent feedback form asking for your input and feedback into some of the suggested events and activities planned for the rest of this year. Please email Kate or I if you have not received this information and would like a copy of the minutes.

Historically at St James Primary, the Parents Association in coordination with teachers have always engaged our school community through various school lead events and activities, some of which were simply to connect with each other, and some created to specifically drive our school fundraising efforts to benefit and support the needs and development of our children.In 2020, we were not permitted to run a large majority of our usually much loved St James events and as we enter a new year of continuous monitoring and change in the way we run school activities, the St James Parent’s Association are seeking your feedback on some of the proposed new ideas around school events moving forward.

The St James Parents Association Exec. Team will collate all feedback we receive by the end of this week, so we encourage everyone to read the online form and provide feedback both positive or otherwise, by COB Friday 5th March, this week.

Mums' Drinks

We'd love to welcome STJ Mums to casual drinks on Friday 12th March - the first night of Dad's camp. Whether your family is heading away or not, we'd love you to come along to have a glass of champas and get to know some of the other Mums at school. All year levels welcome.The venue specialises in drinks and cocktails. They have a small menu of cheeses / nibbles etc.
