Fashion Design

The students in the Year 9 Fashion Design class have allowed their talents and creative thinking skills to shine each lesson. Last week, the class was inspired by the work of Edgar Artis, an Armenian fashion illustrator, who uses unconventional materials to inspire his designs. The students devised and produced these unique pieces in just one morning.

I created this piece inspired by water, I enjoyed experimenting with different techniques and thinking outside the box. Emma Furlong

Year 12 Fashion Class Look to the Future

The Year 12 Fashion class have been working on the theme Future Beautiful.  This is a positive spin on the topic depicting a more optimistic and hopeful future. The students have been inspired by Futuristic and Science fiction books and films and fashion designers such as Alexander McQueen, Jean Paul Gaultier and Iris Van Herpen.

Their first design project was to design a futuristic garment using Metallic sheets and hardware and then they created a futuristic armour. The student found it challenging working with the materials but produced creative prototypes.

The work is currently on display in the Office area.
