VCE Orientation Day
Holiday Homework
Thursday 8 December
Year 10 into Year 11
Year 9 studying a VCE subject
Year 9 and 10 students attended Orientation classes for their 2017 course subjects and received their holiday homework from each subject.
A reminder to all students that it is a requirement of Year 11 to complete this homework, as it will be due on the first day back next year.
Also, a reminder that teachers will still be at school until December 19, so if there are any areas of confusion with Holiday Homework students MUST contact their teacher. This homework is the preparation for your Year 11 studies, and it is important that you make the best start possible.
2017 Year 10
Central Australia Camp
As part of the Year 10 program we are offering students the opportunity to go on a 9 Day Camp to Central Australia in 2017.
Camp 1
Monday 1 May – Tuesday 9 May , 2017
Camp 2
Wednesday 3 May – Thursday 11 May, 2017
Cost: $1,500 (Approximate)
The cost includes transport (coach, airfare), admissions, accommodation and most meals. The cost may also vary depending on how many students wish to attend.
Accommodation
Camping in tents provided by the tour company.
Transport
Five star coach to Alice Springs / Return flight back from Alice Springs to Melbourne.
Visiting
Coober Pedy, Marla, Uluru - Kata Tjuta National Park, Watarrka National Park, Alice Springs.
PAYMENT FOR CAMP
If you wish your son/daughter to go on the camp, the following payments will be REQUIRED to be paid on Compass OR at the General Office by the following dates;
1st Payment - $750
Friday 3 February, 2017
2nd Payment - $750
Friday 31 March, 2017
The camp EVENT will appearon COMPASS in late January for payments to be made.
Semester 2 Reports
Year 9 and 10 Reports will be available on COMPASS for parents/guardians and students to view on Monday 19 December.
Please note, it is advisable for parents/guardians to print/download and save reports for students who are exiting school this year.
Once students are removed from current student records at the school, their reports can no longer be accessed via the Parent Portal (Compass).
2017 Year 10 Subjects
A reminder, Year 10 subject codes and descriptions are available on the windows of Student Services (Middle School Quadrangle).
Year 9 students have been asked to take a copy of their course allocation, including the code descriptions.
Changes to subjects will be considered in the second week of full classes next year. A 'Change of Subject Form' will be required to be completed and signed by a parent/guardian. This form will be available on Compass next year.
Please note, not all changes will be possible due to course requirements and student numbers in classes.
Students EXITING
We ask that parents and guardians contact the Middle School Office as soon as possible, if your son or daughter is not returning to Lilydale High School next year to complete Year 10 or 11.
An Exit Form will be required to be completed and returned to the School Office by the end of Term 4, Tuesday 20 December.
Exit Forms are available from the School Office.
Year 9 Camp
LOST PROPERTY
The Middle School Office has numerous items of lost property brought back from the Year 9 QLD camp.
Students are asked to come into the Middle School Office by Friday 16 December to collect them.
After this date all unclaimed property will be disposed of.
