Dear Parents and Students,
Year 12 Exams
Year 12 exams have started successfully this week. We have been fortunate in being able to use the new air conditioned sports pavilions this week for English, Psychology, Biology and English Language exams. Next week exams are held in the campus centre and I want to remind students and parents to read the exam timetable closely and arrive at least an hour before any exam.
10 and 11 Exams
The Year 10 and 11 exam period begins on Friday November 8. All students have been given an exam timetable showing the date time and location of the exam. Exams will be held in a variety of locations across the campus so I would encourage all students to read this timetable closely and be at JMSS at least 45 minutes prior. Exams are conducted in full JMSS uniform.
If a student is running late they need to ring the General office on 99051002
On Thursday November 7, year 10 and 11 students will have an early dismissal at 1pm.

Applications to go on the annual JMSS trip to far north Queensland were finalised this week and we have the largest ever JMSS contingent of 84 students and staff heading to Cairns next July.
In February 2020 there will be an information night about the trip and details about what to bring and any preparation will be covered on the night.
Antarctica Flight
On Friday November 8th student applications close for our 4th year of participation in the flight over the Antarctic in February 2020. JMSS has 10 flights reserved and application forms can be collected from the VCE area.
A map showing the route of last years trip can be seen below and highlights of the flight include access to the scientists on board who are investigating movements in the earth’s magnetic poles, talks from ex Antarctic base station leaders, live crosses to Australian Antarctic bases and amazing vistas of glaciers, volcanoes and ice sheets.
