Year 7

Year 7 Study Skills Evening

On Thursday 17th July Year 7 students and parents filled the Performing Arts Auditorium for the Study Skills Evening.

The evening was presented by Ms. Prue Salter and provided useful information for students and parents.

If you were unable to attend the evening I would suggest you take some time to go through the information presented. All parents should have received an e- mail which contained booklets and useful website information. All year 7 students also have an electronic version of all information presented.

Maths Activities Day

The day was a filled with educational fun. From the first activity to the last, from Mr Wilson in a ‘onesy’ to the amazing race with Mr Rejman.

The Amazing Race was a fantastic activity, which required us to work as a team. It tested our knowledge in many different areas of Mathematics. 

There was so much to do and learn such as knowing a radius and taking measurements accurately. From putting together puzzle pieces to measuring statues the activity was one to remember.

House Cross Country

On Friday 25th July, Year 7 students participated in the House Cross Country.

The challenging 3km course is run on the sand at Mentone beach and includes the grueling ‘McBean’s Ramp’ climb before returning via the cliff tops and bicycle path.

This year’s winner was Mitchell Tsiros (7.7) who completed the race in 10:48. He was closely followed by George Grey (7.6) and Patrick Kennedy (7.6).

Congratulations to all students who competed on the day. A mighty effort!
