Cyber Awareness Night

Year 7 to 9 parents are invited to the Cyber Awareness night on Monday 29 October  at 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM. On this night a range of topics will be covered including:

- Resources addressing cyber safety issues.

- Optus Digital Thumbprint presentation.- Strategies for dealing with common issues related to device use at home.

- A demonstration of a device/software that can be used at home to monitor and control use.

- Instructions on Phone/iPad restrictions that parents can use on an iPad if required.

 

Topics to be discussed include:

 

  • the types and effects of cyberbullying
  • digital privacy & security
  • how to create a positive online presence
  • using technology to improve study habits
  • sexualization of content & behaviour

 

This is a free information night that is suitable for parents guardians and family members.

This event is for parents, not students.
