The St Bede's College, Pierre de Coubertin Award is presented to a student who has, throughout his time at the College, shown passion and dedication to his studies in Physical Education and who has represented the school in several sports. Marcus has been particularly prominent in his commitment to the ACC swimming team over a number of years. He has modelled the attitude and behaviours required by our future ACC representatives.

Year 11 Media students Hamish Dun and Massimo Vignali entered a Short Video in the International Youth Silent Film Festival last month and their film ‘The Sound of Passion’ has been shortlisted as one of the screening finalists.  The festival will be at the Astor Theatre on Friday 26 October at 7:00 pm.

Br Quentin Awards

Students in Year 7-10 competed in inter-class Speak Offs during Term 3 to determine the two best public speakers in each year. These students competed in prepared and impromptu speaking rounds in front of their entire year level.

 

The Brother Quentin O’Halloran Public Speaking evening took place on Tuesday 9 October, with the champion Year 7-10 speakers as well as volunteer Year 11s and 12s competing to determine the best year level speakers as well as an overall school champion.

Congratulations to Lyndon Bulman who was the overall winner as well as the following year level champions (highlighted).

The Lasallian Challenge Public Speaking evening took place on Tuesday 16 October.   St Bede’s students competed against champions from St James and De La Salle Colleges in each year level.

Congratulations go to Jack Langdon who was the overall winner for 2018 as well as the following year level champions (highlighted).
