Ninna marni (Hi, How are you?),

This week, Nunga Groups from our school and Henley Beach Primary School visited West Beach Kindergarten to teach the kindy kids the song Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes in Kaurna language. The kids had a ball and all got up and did the dance!

Also, a big thank you to Uncle Moogy and the Tal-Kin-Jeri Dance Group for opening our school concert with traditional dancing and a Welcome to Country. The dances performed were based on Dreaming stories from the Ngarrindjeri nation, where I am from, and included Kondili the Whale.

To our year 7 Nunga students, I wish you all the best on your new adventures at high school. I hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday and I will see you in the new year!

Nukun (See you later!)
