YEAR 12 CAPTAINS
On Monday 3 August, the Victorian Tertiary Administration Centre (VTAC) opened its application process to allow all Year 12 students to apply for the university or TAFE course of their preference. The registration cost is $29.
This application allows individuals to rank their desired tertiary courses from 1 to 12, and will ultimately work in conjunction with our future ATAR ranks to determine the university offers we are given.

YEAR 11 CAPTAINS
We recently had our MIPS interviews with Careers Counsellors. At these sessions we were provided with invaluable advice and information regarding our career paths. It was very useful leading into our subject selections. We will all be logging on this week and selecting our subjects to set us up for next year.

SCIENCE
Recently, our Year 12 Chemistry students created informative, yet entertaining, short videos on Source of Energy in Australia. With the use of computer technology, green screen and some fine puppeteering, it was mirth to our curricular activities!
Additionally, many younger students are facing the challenge of choosing their subjects for the upcoming years. As Science captains, we shared our experience of studying Science at LHS at the Course Selection Information Evening alongside many Science teachers. A wealth of students were informed about the opportunities that Science may bring upon. We hope to see many students uptake this area of study in the coming years!
