Welcome To Tower Talk Issue 3 

2017 began sadly for the members of the Past Pupils’ Network Committee with the news of the sudden death of Angela Docherty. Angela served on the Kilbreda Stewardship Council for a number of years sharing her insights, her love of Kilbreda and its history, traditions and desire for ongoing Brigidine education for current and future students. Angela also joined the Past Pupils’ Network Committee in 2005. She was committed to the Kilbreda Alumnae and assisted with every major function held since 2005 where she was always at her best offering hospitality to all. Her love of and pride in Kilbreda was inspiring! Angela is greatly missed.

On a happier note we wish Ashleigh and Theo Patogiannis well as Ashleigh takes leave for the birth of their first child. Such an exciting time for Ash and Theo, we share in their joy.

We welcome Peta Wragg’s return after an extended break travelling abroad and also two new members to the committee, Kylie Montesanti nee Oliver and Rebecca Harvison nee Mercieca.

This year we have hosted two very successful reunions, the Class of 2016 and a 30 Year celebration. We look forward to hosting 20, 40, 41 and 55 Year reunions later in the year (details can be found in this issue). The Past Pupils’ Network Committee is delighted that so many groups are including a visit to Kilbreda as part of their reunion celebrations. We are able to assist you with planning and organising reunions. If you would like to include Kilbreda in your celebration you can commence your visit with drinks and nibbles, tour areas of the College and enjoy a trip up the College Tower.

Kilbreda Past Pupils of Distinction has been extremely well received. Nominees will be recognised and Induction to Kilbreda Past Pupils of Distinction will take place at a dinner on Friday 4 August at the College (further details in this issue).

We would love to hear what is happening in the lives of Kilbreda Past Pupils and would welcome any articles, news stories and photos that could be included in future issues of Tower Talk. The next edition is planned for November/December this year.
