Dirty Ragtimer's Concert

The 'Dirty Ragtimers', featuring Heather Stuart (grew up in Womboota and now lives and works as a musician in Paris) on violin and Luca Montagnier on acoustic guitar, performed a concert at the Echuca Foundry Arts Space on Sunday 15 April as part of their regional Australian tour.

Many of our Strings students attended the concert and were inspired by Heather's playing, which covered a range of classic American songs from the early 20th Century in styles including Ragtime, Jazz, Country and Gospel.

Congratulations to two of our students who performed at the beginning of the concert; Cara Haley (Yr 5) played a number of songs on cello while Isabelle Ferguson (Yr 7) played a solo and also a duet with her younger sister on violin.

Our TAS Centre

It won't be long now until the new Technology and Applied Science Centre is up and running which will house agriculture, VET Primary Industries, woodwork, graphics and a metalwork and engineering bay. Our Year 12 Agriculture students are extremely keen to work in the new building.
