Get Ready, Get Set For Life Program

The 2015 Geelong Show

This year the girls entered in the Photography, Horticulture and the Home Crafts sections of the Geelong Show.

The Food Technology centre was a buzz with the girls cooking for their exhibits. We also invited some girls who are in Grade 6 at Primary School to come and assist as part of their transition to Matthew Flinders in 2016.

The girls did exceptionally well being awarded the Best Exhibit in the section for their Gingerbread Novelties, first prize for the Iced Orange Cake, as well as 2 seconds and 2 thirds in other sections.

Juliet Roberts did very well in the Photography section getting a First and Second Prize in the Year 7 – 10 Photography with the entries in the Pet Portrait section.

Jamie Connelly also gained a second and third prize for her entries in the Horticultural Section.

RIDING TO DEVELOP ABILITIES

This year two students, Jessica and Sam, have been participating in the Riding To Develop Abilities Program at Koombahla Park Equestrian Centre, Wallington. The girls have done extremely well and they are now training to enter an equestrian event competing against other riders in the state. They can be very proud of their achievements.
