Earlier in the term, the Year 7s enjoyed a three-day camp at ADANAC Camp in Yarra Junction.  It was a great opportunity to make new friends, get to know new teachers and experience new things.  Some of the activities enjoyed over the three days included archery, canoeing, flying fox and indoor rock-climbing.  The students participated in a liturgy, reflecting the annual College Theme - Take the Way of the Gospel.  Students also enjoyed a trivia night and a visit to the local swimming pool.  Thank you to all the staff and students that attended the camp and made it such an exciting and memorable experience.

When the bus turned into Camp ADANAC, everyone glared at the huge building in front of us that we were going to be staying in - ADANAC was like a 5-star hotel!  The view ahead when looking off the deck was magical, with all the big trees, the steep mountains and the thin clouds that skimmed over the mountains.  The first time entering the dining room was like stepping into heaven!  All the activities were so enjoyable, but I must admit I wasn’t the best at all the activities.  Walking down the steep hill on the second day, we made our way to the water trampoline in the middle of the lake.  I could officially say that it was one of my favourite activities at camp. When I heard we were going onto the flying fox I literally ran around out of happiness.  The flying fox was a new experience for me.  I have been on a flying fox before, but I must admit that camp ADANAC’s flying fox was mush better than any I had been on.

On the second night, we headed to the pools that were just down the road from camp ADANAC.  All the Year 7s followed the teachers that were scattered around - the walk to the pools was so tiring, but it was totally worth it.  There was also an obstacle course that every STEP class could have a chance to do.

Overall, it was an amazing camp, and we all had a good time!
