We are excited to announce that The Hamilton and Alexandra College has joined The Future Schools Alliance. The aim is to be future focused when it comes to schooling and thinking about the teaching and learning needs of our students both now and in years to come. It is a global collaboration of innovators who will work with us to help us transform our learning community and evolve into one that provide the foundation for our students to have the skills and competency for a complex future world of work and study. This starts in the learning and play at our Early Learning Centre, it characterises what we do in the Junior School and then is highlighted by the diverse range of opportunities our college students have to learn about the world, and the views, values and beliefs that drive the people in the community.

Our teaching team here at college will get to regularly hear from thought leaders, as part of their professional learning, we will attend online and in person tours of other schools that are driving best practice and build connections to help us to continue to be the best regional independent school in Victoria. Highly regarded educator and Professor Yong Zhao says:

“What you are doing is to not only create better education for the children in your schools, but also a powerful example for the rest of the world.”

Education matters. It is a privilege to learn and to learn in the facilities we have here and with an extraordinary team of teachers. At The Hamilton and Alexandra College, we are motivated to be the best we can be. We support our students to strive for high academic achievement, but this is also underpinned by a foundation of strong wellbeing. Learning and wellbeing are determined by our ability to remain curious about the world and each other, to be courageous in the face of change and adversity and to remain connected with local and global partnerships.

We invite you, students, parents, and teachers to partner with us as we continue an exciting journey in education.
