Community Service 

For the past two years, Lucy Holmberg (12 Jones) has been busy collecting loose change from members of Jones House and she has raised an impressive total of $355.50.  

Initially, Lucy’s aim was to donate to another charity however owing to Covid restrictions and the impact it has had in our community, Bendigo Foodshare caught her eye. Just before Christmas Lucy went shopping and purchased Christmas items and donated them to Bendigo Foodshare. The donations included activities for children like Christmas mugs and masks to decorate. Added to her donations were Christmas table cloths, mince pies, Christmas tree biscuits, Santa chocolates, gourmet savoury biscuits, juice pops, lemonade ice poles, corn chips and taco kits. 

Well done to Lucy for her commitment to such a worthy cause and to Jones House members for your generosity. Their efforts no doubt had a positive impact on many local families on Christmas Day.
