GCAG have it "in the bag"

In 2021, the Girton Community Action Group collected donations for #ItsInTheBag, which is Share the Dignity’s annual event where items are collected to put together bags filled with essential items, to donate to someone in need.  

2021 was a challenging year, which resulted in an increased need. GCAG would like to thank everyone who contributed by donating to boxes around the school that were put together to support It’s In The Bag. There was a great response from the community, including past students, and more than 3 car boot loads of bags/items donated.  

In March 2022, the Share the Dignity Drive will be running. Share the Dignity is a women's charity in Australia, that works to make a real difference in the lives of those experiencing homelessness, fleeing domestic violence, or doing it tough. It distributes period products to women, girls, and anyone who menstruates who needs support.  

Donations of period and sanitary items are being called for, to be collected in a box at Morey reception. It would be greatly appreciated if people would kindly donate anything they can, including pads, tampons and other menstrual items.
