Library News

Hedwig Hill

We are very excited to share our school year with you as we aim to meet the recreational needs of the students by providing good quality fiction and non-fiction on a variety of subject areas. We work closely with classroom teachers to support all students in their research, learning and recreational reading. If a student requests a book that is not available in the library, we will endeavour to add the title to our next purchase order.

There is no borrowing limit on books for Secondary students. Some limitations apply to Early Learning / Primary students. Students are able to borrow books even if they have overdue items, within reasonable limits.

Lists of overdue library resources are regularly sent to students and Primary Classroom teachers. Clan teachers will receive a list of the due items simultaneously as the students are notified by email. If students incorrectly receive a notice, please get in touch with the friendly staff at the Library.

Book Week 2022

The Children's Book Council of Australia will soon release a list of notable books which were published in 2021: https://cbca.org.au/notables-2022

Most of these books will be available for borrowing in the next two weeks

On March 29, the shortlist will be released, with the winner announced on 19 August.

This year's book week theme has been announced, being Dreaming With Eyes Open.
