Extended learning and enrichment opportunities available at Mount Carmel College

In the context of the Australian Curriculum, teachers vary the pace and extend the level of challenge of every day learning tasks to meet the needs of gifted students.

Some students also have access to a range of extension and enrichment programs; these include Ad Astra in the primary school and Gifted Online in the secondary school.  (Please note that due to COVID these have been postponed until Term 2)

Mount Carmel offers a range of co-curricular activities that can extend student learning and challenge students, in all learning areas.   Our students have the opportunity to participate in the Rostrum Voice of Youth, the Whitlam Institute ‘What Matters’ competition, Ethics Olympiad, Da Vinci Challenge and STEM exhibition   are just some of the activities we offer.
