PASS Excursion

Year 10 PASS AIS Excursion – Thursday 27th November 2014

On Thursday 27 November Miss Lumsden, Mr Irvine and 53 keen Year 10 PASS students headed to the AIS for the Sports Experience tour. 

The students were taken on a brief tour of some of the AIS facilities and were fortunate to see a number of the Australian Diamonds Netball team enjoying lunch at the café and Australian Olympic Sprinter Melissa Breen working on explosive power in the strength and conditioning gym. The students then had the opportunity to test themselves in a number of activities in the Sportex display with battles of skill, balance, reaction time, strength and endurance keeping the students (and staff) entertained. After a quick lunch break the classes were split into boys and girls and headed to the Combat Centre for a “Sports Experience”. Some epic sock wrestling and hockey ensued with the students having a great time.
