Introducing our new staff

In this edition of il giornale we continue featuring our new college staff for 2022. We would like to introduce you to Deputy Principal Teaching and Learning Mel Key and School of Innovation Learning Mentors Ciaran Hubble and Brooke Kelly.

Mel Key

Hi everyone, my name is Mel Key and I am so excited to have joined the St Anne's College community. I feel very welcomed into the community and look forward to opportunities where I can meet and get to know families. I have joined the college in 2022 in my role as Deputy Principal Teaching and Learning. Prior to joining the St Anne's community, I have been at St Augustine's in Kyabram in the role of Deputy Principal. I have also taught in Echuca, Shepparton and Dandenong.

I am mum to two beautiful children. When I am not at the college I enjoy keeping fit, cooking, baking, good food, shopping and spending time with my family and friends.

Ciaran Hubble

Hi everyone, my name is Ciaran and I am part of the Year 8 team this year. I also teach Physical Education in the School of Innovation. This is my first year teaching and it has been awesome getting into the classroom, as well as getting to know all of our amazing students. I am originally from Kyabram and completed my university degree last year in Bendigo. 

Outside of school, I enjoy keeping active at the gym and I play footy out at Merrigum. I am a big supporter of the Western Bulldogs and I will likely talk about them every Monday morning, depending on the result. As much as I enjoy sport, I also try to catch up with my friends and family as often as I can. Whether it be relaxing in their company, or getting out and exploring new places, I really love spending time with them. I’ve really enjoyed my time at St Anne’s so far, and I’m looking forward to what’s to come for the rest of the year.

Brooke Kelly

Hello families, my name is Brooke Kelly and this is my first year at St Anne’s College where I work in the Year 8 team. Before joining the St Anne's community, I was previously at Wanganui Park Secondary College as an English teacher.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, going for coffee on the weekends with my husband and working hard to keep my new garden in top condition.

At St Anne’s, I enjoy working in a more community-focused environment and stepping out of my comfort zone to try new subjects I have never been a part of before. I have also enjoyed learning the names that go with all the friendly faces that I see on a daily basis.
