ENROLLING AT CATHOLIC COLLEGE WODONGA FOR 2023 – IMPORTANT CHANGES

If you, or someone you know, is thinking about enrolling a child for Year 7 2023, there are some things to be aware of.

The College has changed its enrolment process.

·         Three forms to fill out, each due by a set date.

·         Enrolment season starts in March, not May.

·         To be eligible for a first-round interview, apply by Monday 28 March. Forms received after that date may result in your family being placed in a later interview round – when fewer places are available.

A summary of the new process is below.

WAYS TO ACCESS AN APPLICATION PACK

1.      CES schools have copies of the packs in the Reception

2.      College Reception (1 March)

3.      Website (1 March)  https://ccw.vic.edu.au/enrol2023/

The critical thing to remember is:

Apply between 1 - 28 March.

This is for all year levels, not just Year 7.

Guitar/bass/ukulele/voice lessons with Kirsty Pittman

I offer instrumental lessons to students of all ages, utilising approaches that enable young students to learn quickly and naturally, as they do their mother tongue. The method is a ground-breaking teaching approach that focuses on the fundamental elements of learning the instrument. Drawing on the philosophies of Orff and Montessori, it uses tactile objects and visuals to teach beginners how to play the instrument.

This method teaches students to recognise and play intervals all along with their

instrument, play fun pieces quickly and easily, and read independently, using alternative notation.

Once the student has mastered the physical aspect of playing, I then introduce conventional

notation. For students who show adequate capacity and dedication, I also offer the AMEB exam program guitar, ukulele, bass guitar, voice and flute.

My lessons are always fun and engaging, teach good technique and practise habits, and are individually tailored to inspire students. Students will have the opportunity to perform in concerts.
