Divisional Swimming

Well Done to Anna Newham, who represented our school in divisional swimming at Aqaumoves. We did a short interview with Anna on her experience.

How did you find the level of competition?

It was pretty neutral. We all had similar abilities.

Did you swim a personal best?

Yes, I came 3rd in freestyle and 2nd in breaststroke.

What did you enjoy the most?

I enjoyed seeing what the other schools and clubs have been practising and going back to my club and using the strategies I had learned.

Numurkah FNC Junior Footy

Our Junior Age Divisions for our youngest footballers are Auskick, then Under 9s and 11s. Our Auskick will continue at the Showgrounds with our U9&11 games being played as part of the new Goulburn Murray League (ex Shep Juniors ). Games start after the 1st Term Break. Training will begin soon. We now seek expressions of interest for coaches. Please get in touch with Rob Smith or Paul Arnel for more information.

Active School Grant

With great excitement, we can finally announce that Numurkah Primary School has been successful in gaining a $30,000 grant through ACHPER to help implement DET’s Active Schools Framework. This will allow us to purchase sporting equipment, create active classrooms and outdoor learning spaces, and update outdoor play areas. In the coming weeks, staff will meet with students to allow them to have their say in how and where we should invest this grant to help them become more active, both during class and playtimes. This grant will help continue the work done at NPS in developing healthy and active students.
