Meet and Greet BBQ

Our Meet and Greet BBQ on Thursday 10th March was very successful with close to 100 parents and children attending. Our Junior School Councillors and School/House Captains did an excellent job running activities for the children. I have posted a few photographs from the night below.

Parent-Teacher Interviews

Our Parent-Teacher interviews will take place next week On Tuesday 5th April and Wednesday 6th April from 3.45 - 6.30 pm. These interviews may be conducted on the phone or in person at the school depending on the individual preference for each family. Bookings can be made through Compass from Monday 28th March 2022. Please note parents and carers who enter school buildings must be able to show evidence of two doses of COVID-19 vaccine or have a valid medical exception. Face masks must also be worn.

Covid

Please note that children in Years 3 - 6 are still required to wear masks at school unless there is an exemption. It is also recommended that children are tested twice a week. If you require further tests or are unsure about any details please contact us. In the latest update to the School Operations Guide the following changes should be noted:

"Students and staff who tested positive and completed their 7-day isolation period are not required to participate in the RAT screening for 8 weeks after their release from isolation. In addition, if a staff or student have recovered from COVID-19, they aren’t required to get tested or isolate/quarantine if re-exposed to a case within 8 weeks of ending their isolation period. This period was previously 30 days.

After 8 weeks, they must follow the relevant advice depending on the type of contact you are."

TheirCare

It is great to see that a few more families have joined TheirCare. Unfortunately, the numbers are not high enough to run a Vacation program in the Term 1 holidays but we are still hoping that we can offer this in the Term 2 holidays. Parents who currently use TheirCare or sign up in the next 2 weeks will however be able to access the TheirCare vacation programs at Congupna Primary School, Bouchier St Primary School, Grahamvale Primary School, or Guthrie Street Primary School.

I have also been approached by some families enquiring about the costs involved. TheirCare has provided us with a couple of scenarios to assist with this. Further contact details are provided on the TheirCare page.

I would like to finish this update by sharing some of the great artwork produced by the children in Art and during Harmony week.
