Year 9 Multimedia

In this semester Year 9 Multimedia students have been experimenting with images with the use of Photoshop. They experimented with light and shadow effects, mirroring images, vectors, bitmap images and combined multiple elements from different images to create a truly unique and personal design. Students were tasked to create an image that demonstrates the term ‘cool’ by selecting a background image and adding additional edited images that promote their view of a cool image.

STEP Metals & Engineering

In this course students are provided the opportunity to develop their metalworking skills in our Manufacturing & Engineering Trade Training Centre. So far, they have made a steel dice which involved accurate marking out while discovering the properties of the material and its possible applications. As we progress through the course students will work with sheet metal and progress into welding focused projects.

NexGen Robotics Incursion

Students from Stage 4 and 5 took part in a robotics incursion with NextGen Robotics. They programmed robots using Arduino based coding that were connected to ultra-sonic, infrared, LED, and electric motor peripherals. They programmed them to dance, race around a track and avoid objects.

Year 10 Timber

The students are designing their own unique plywood trinket box using Computer Aided Design software. Each student’s unique design will have each part cut to size with our precision laser cutter to produce a high-quality project.
