Fantastic French

Next Wednesday, August 21, will be our 5th  BPPS French Day!

It will be a day to celebrate our French program and to dress up in French colours and costumes.

Outstanding costumes will be awarded a CL@S certificate

During the day, students will attend a French Mime Show from Cultural Infusion in the Stadium.

The times for the sessions are as follows:

Grade 5/6 at  9:50-10:40 am

Grade 3/4  at 12-12:50 pm

F-2 at 2:40-3:30 pm

BPPS French Poetry Task and Competition Reminder

In French classes this term, students have been learning French poetry recitation.

In week 7 there will be a class competition during French lessons and each class will decide on a winner using criteria such as memorisation, eye contact, voice projection, expression, gestures and pronunciation. 

The class winners will then perform in front of their level and teachers. (Details TBC) 

A winner will be chosen for each level and all winners will receive a CL@S certificate.

All poems  are on the school's web page and for Grades 3-6 they can also be found on Showbie.

All students will be assessed on their recitation as part of their French oral task for Term 3.

We encourage all families to partake in this stimulating event by assisting with practice, memorisation and motivation.
