Principal's Message

Principal's Message

This week we welcomed the team from the Department of Education’s Hypotential Unit to create a success story of BAPS and to share why a large number of students are achieving above the state average in both academic success and attendance.  I look forward to sharing both the written story and video with you in the future.

Term 4 is the busiest term of the year and I encourage students to enjoy a great break as we have so much planned for the years end.  Please keep an eye on our website, Facebook page and school App as the term is jam packed with events including; Year 6 Farewell, Captain’s Induction, Presentation day, Brooke Idol, Tumbi High School transition and much more.  We look forward to celebrating the success of all our children with you.

With our holidays fast approaching many of our children will have more time to access social media and it might be a good time for all parents to ensure our children are connecting appropriately and safely with friends via digital platforms.  An increasing number of students are accessing social media and phone apps which include ‘friending’ a large number of people often unknown to them.    Make time to have the conversation about who is on the other end of the line.

The last day of Term 3 is Friday, 28 September 2018. Our educational journey recommences for all students on Monday, 15 October 2018.

Thank you to all of our parents who have assisted the school and the students during the term. Your assistance and support is indeed appreciated!

Have a safe term break and we look forward to a busy and productive Term 4.
